The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is asking consumers to check their medicine cabinets after thousands of blood pressure medication bottles were recalled nationwide.
According to the FDA’s website, New Jersey-based Macleods Pharma USA is recalling certain lots of Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets.
The recall was issued on Oct. 7, 2026, with the FDA later instituting a Class II rating on Oct. 26, 2026. A Class II recall means the use of the affected medication may cause “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”

Officials said the recall covers 3,528 30-count bottles from lot 12251163A and 216 90-count bottles from lot 12251163B. Both lots expire May 31, 2027.
An enforcement report said the medication failed to meet quality standards, meaning the pills did not dissolve as required during testing.
The recall comes after Inventia Healthcare recalled certain lots of chlorthalidone tablets back in June. Then, on Sept. 3, 2026, the company initiated a separate recall involving an additional lot of the medication. On Sept. 17, 2026, the FDA classified the September recall as Class II.
