The troubles continue for Patrick Bruel. While the 67-year-old singer is already indicted for rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment – facts which he disputes – his luxury establishment in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in turn finds itself at the heart of a controversy. According to an investigation published by “Voici”, several former employees denounce the management methods of the general manager of the hotel and criticize the singer for not having reacted early enough.
Opened in July 2025, L’Isle de Leos has since seen a series of departures. The director of the bistronomic restaurant, the pastry chef and even the director of the spa have notably left the establishment. According to “Voici”, these resignations are partly linked to the work climate established by the general director, Emmanuel Borla, personally recruited by Patrick Bruel.
Several testimonies collected by the magazine directly implicate the manager, who is now the subject of a complaint for moral harassment. A former employee describes a behavior that she considers particularly problematic: “When a manager arrives in the morning and yells at his employees to the point of making them cry, when he makes sexist comments towards female employees, that’s not normal…”
According to “Voici”, this management notably precipitated the departure of Yon Masurel, who managed the hotel restaurant. Before resigning, he would have questioned Patrick Bruel in these terms: “Who is this man that you put there for us?”
Another former manager had already publicly expressed her discomfort. In September, Coralie Saorin, former director of the spa, explained on LinkedIn that she had evolved in “an environment that does not promote respect”.
The magazine above all claims that several employees alerted Patrick Bruel to the situation. Some now criticize him for having maintained his confidence in the general director despite the accumulating criticism.
“For me, Patrick Bruel left the employees in danger, even though he knew what was happening, he decided to do nothing,” says a former employee interviewed by “Voici”. At this stage these are accusations made by former staff members.
The situation has since evolved: still according to the magazine, Emmanuel Borla has submitted his resignation, while the director of human resources has also left the establishment. A new period of uncertainty for Patrick Bruel’s luxury hotel, inaugurated just over a year ago.
